The Margins of Us by K. Peters Brandon, a. Bookstore owner and secretively successful novelist, meets Isla when she comes in to sell some of her books. In order to get to know her better, he offers her a job at the bookstore, which she accepts because she needs the money. He then begins to craft his next story based on notes she’s made in the margins of her books and what he observes of her while she is working. Once she discovers this, there is conflict between her and Brandon over it. This is a very cute Hallmark type story with just a touch of spice. Tropes include secret identity, workplace, romance, Hallmark and meet cute.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed Kait and Oliver’s meet cute and the journey to their HEA. It was really refreshing to read a story without a bad guy or the “other person”. This was a story of a woman going after her dreams and a guy who loves her enough to let her. These gorgeous people eventually found their way back to each other and it was really satisfying to witness.
