A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads lives only one

Katelyn Peters writes under the name K. Peters.
By day, I am a mom, a podcaster, and a PA to indie authors. By night, I am a self-published indie author myself.
Living in sunny and hot Arizona, I homeschool my two beautiful, lively girls and entertain two pups. I really need my resume updated to read “I’m a mom living with an angsty teen, and I am a tiny human wrangler.”
What began as a creative outlet has evolved into a passion for storytelling, I contributed to the literary world as an alpha reader, beta reader, and ARC reviewer, gaining experience across the writing and publishing process.
My publishing journey began with a short story featured in a charity anthology benefiting WriteGirl, followed by her debut self-published novella, All I Want for Christmas is Oliver (2022). I re-released an extended version of Kat’s Story in early 2023 after regaining publishing rights. Four years later, I self-published The Margins of Us.
Reading started as a way of escapism from real life, growing up. I began writing more as an adult, passing the time at my call center job, and I had even hand-written part of a fantasy romance novel before realizing romance was my niche. I have even made my stories come to life in the Dorian app, where you can play as the main character and make your own decisions just like our childhood choose-your-own-adventure books!
